Oswestry Film Society has announced the films for their ninth season showing at Oswestry’s community cinema, Kinokulture.

The Society is showing films on the first and third Tuesdays of each month from September to December, starting on September 4 with the recent thriller, Molly’s Game, starring Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba.

Michael Hudson from the society said: “Our ninth season features something for everyone. We have world cinema, animation, thrillers, comedies, and even a surprise at Christmas!

“Nicole Kidman stars in Birth, an overlooked recent classic where a young widow faces an impossible dilemma, we have the award winning Irish comedy, Sanctuary, about a young couple with learning difficulties trying to get some time alone, and world cinema animation, The Breadwinner, which has won worldwide acclaim.

“We finish our season on December 18 with a Christmas Night Celebration; cheap tickets, free mulled wine and mince pies, and a surprise film that will only be announced on the night.”

A season ticket covering all eight films is available for just £24 and on the door tickets are available at £6 per film.

“A season ticket works out at just £3 a film, plus you get a guaranteed seat for every screening.” added Michael.
