Oswestry's NFU has been given a make over and introduced some new staff members.

Stuart Chacksfield, NFU group secretary for Oswestry, said the team it pleased the new office.

He said: "After moving from English Walls to 12 Salop Road in 2012, our NFU office has just enjoyed a complete interior refurbishment, with new private meeting rooms created, as well as a more customer friendly interior design and redecoration.

"It’s great to see the NFU investing in its local branch network, ensuring that customers continue to enjoy the professional face to face and telephone conversations from our base here in the town centre. Our livestock market office is also due to have a facelift next month and we look forward to greeting customers there on Wednesday market day.

"The office has also invested in two new staff members this year, Katy and Yasmin, both local to Oswestry, who have joined the well established team.

"Katy may already be a familiar face to many, having worked at the local Santander Oswestry branch for several years.

"Yasmin was previously a director of an international risk management business. Both bring a wealth of knowledge from their previous roles and are well on their way to being trained up, enjoying life in a busy NFU branch.

"No doubt many of you will have met the team at the terrific Oswestry Show on Saturday, where we provided the usual hospitality at the NFU marquee. Do feel free to call in to see the office and have a coffee and chat at any time of course."

Stuart added that the team are looking forward to seeing NFU members for our farm walk this evening in Chirk, anyone who has not yet booked on, please contact the NFU office on 01691 652120.
