A Chirk care home received a visit from a therapy pony last week.
A Shetland Pony called Princess Akasipi delighted residents at Chirk Court.
Princess has been looked after by the team at TherAmals, based in Bangor-on-Dee, who run a therapeutic animal service that lets clients get to know a wide range of new animal friends.
Mandi Southern, Activities Coordinator at Chirk Court, said: “Our pony visitor was originally a rescue pony and she was wonderfully calm and gentle.
“The residents reacted really well to her being there, they were all so happy to meet her.
“We’re now all looking forward to a return visit from the TherAmals team in September when they are bringing along some therapy rabbits, chinchillas and other small animals.”
