Kronospan have said that the likely cause of Tuesday night's fire at their Chirk factory was an electrical fault.
A detailed investigation has been launched following the large fire that began shortly before 10pm.
Pictures shared on social media showed flames and thick black smoke pouring from the site.
Five fire crews attended the site, with the last crew leaving just before 1.30am on Wednesday morning.
Kronospan issued a statement regarding the fire.
They said: "We can confirm that there was a fire last night affecting the SEKA filter at Kronospan Chirk.
"NWFRS were called shortly before 10pm last night, and attended site to support our own efforts in extinguishing the fire.
"The incident was quickly brought under control and by 1am all fire crews had been stood down and left site.
"A detailed investigation is currently underway involving NWFRS and our own specialists to determine the exact cause of the fire.
"However, the first indications are that the cause was an electrical fault.
"As is normal practice, an ambulance attended the scene, but thankfully there were no injuries."
