FIREFIGHTERS were called out to tackle a vehicle blaze.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call just before 11.30am on Sunday reporting a vehicle ablaze in Wrexham Road, Chester.

It is believed to have happened close to the Grosvenor Garden Centre.

One fire crew from Ellesmere Port attended the scene to find a 4x4 well alight.

Firefighters used a hose reel and breathing apparatus to extinguish the flames.

They then used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.
