A BURST water main in Chirk is causing havoc on the roads - with water gushing at least 30 feet high.
The incident happened on the A5 road between Chirk and Llangollen on Tuesday morning.
It has led to traffic problems, with North Wales Police urging motorists to avoid the area.
Around 11:20am, NWP Wrexham Rural tweeted: "Please be aware that there is a burst water main outside Jewsons in #Chirk which is causing some issues with traffic. Please avoid the area if you can and use an alternative route."
A spokesperson for Severn Trent said: “We received reports of a burst water pipe on the A5 in Chirk, near Wrexham.
“Our engineers went straight out to investigate and are now working as quickly as they can to repair the pipe and get everything back to normal.
“We’d like to apologise to the handful of customers who’ve been affected and they should see their water supply return within the next 30 minutes.”
