Llansantffraid Primary School has recently secured a new addition to its play area this summer, a play house, and it’s been a huge hit with the children.

Rural insurer NFU Mutual helped to fund this project through its Community Giving Fund.

The school was in need of a playhouse to provide shade, and a little haven for imaginary play, and NFU Mutual stepped in to help.

Mrs Morris, headteacher at Llansantffraid Primary School, said: “We are all so grateful to the NFU Mutual grant which has enabled us to purchase this fabulous Wendy house for our pupils to enjoy.

"Our local Agent at NFU Welshpool, Stephen Kenyon, kindly made us aware of the NFU Community Giving Fund, and through our application we were fortunate to receive a generous amount of £250 towards the cost of a Wendy house which now takes pride of place on our school playground.

"We’d like to thank Steve and NFU Mutual for this fantastic support.”

Stephen Kenyon, senior partner at NFU Mutual Welshpool, was very pleased to visit children at the school to see the play house in action. He added: “The NFU Mutual Community Giving Fund was set up in 2005 to support local community and educational initiatives.

"As an Agent for NFU Mutual, it is a great pleasure to see how our business provides valuable support to local communities.”
