VOLUNTEERS in Montgomeryshire have been hailed for their efforts.
North Montgomeryshire Volunteer Bureau (NMVB) organised a celebration for Volunteers' Week at Llanfyllin Community Shop.
An award ceremony was held with took place with the new mayor of Llanfyllin, Cllr Simon Baynes, presented certificates to volunteer drivers who give their time to provide community transport to vulnerable people.
Cllr Baynes, said: “It’s my honour to be asked to give out certificates to volunteers who have made an outstanding contribution to Llanfyllin and the surrounding area.”
NMVB manager Sharon Baines said: “NMVB is here to help local people find suitable volunteer opportunities with local organisations and to help organisations find volunteers.
"This celebration is a way for us to express how valuable volunteers are and the massive difference they make within the local communities they serve. Volunteers are amazing people and their achievements are never ending”
