An innovative new project will bring a piece of Gobowen's heritage to life.
Oswestry Town Museum has teamed up with the village's community hub, Gobowen Central, to install a display cabinet that will be filled items from its past.
Mark Hignett, from the museum, said he hopes the outreach partnership project will "increase awareness" in village history and lead to more cabinets in other villages.
He continued: "Taking the Oswestry Heritage Open Days logo of ‘Oswestry and Beyond’ as their inspiration, the provision of a museum cabinet in Gobowen Central to highlight Gobowen’s rich history and heritage is seen as a first step in a project that aims to see similar cabinets in other villages and communities.
!Following months of support from Corrie Davies of the North Shropshire enablement team and the other members of the Gobowen Central team the project aims to inspire local interest in area specific heritage and history."
It comes after Mark attended one of the Gobowen Central development group meetings.
The cabinet will be installed on Thursday.
