A mouthwatering selection of treats came to the Chirk Tavern last weekend when it hosted an artisan fair.
Nigel Edwards, who took over the pub – formerly Chirk’s Royal British Legion base – at the end of March said the fair was a great success.
He said: “It was the very first one and it was good enough that it is going to be kept going on the first Sunday of each month.
“There are usually 14 stalls but on this occasion there were 10, but next month the hopes are to bring in an ice-cream van too, so there will be something for everyone here.”
Nigel added that since opening before Easter, the pub had been very busy – and Friday was set to see the first gig night at the Chirk Tavern with The Vinyls from the Wirral taking to the stage.
He added: “It’s been going really well.
“Every weekend has been busy and the weeks have been flying by.”
