A WOMAN found at a property on Deeside, which had been the subject of a closure order, has been fined.

Rhian Elizabeth Davies, 33, of no fixed abode, appeared from custody at Flintshire Magistrates’ Court at Mold.

The court was told that a property in Salisbury Street in Shotton, had been made the subject of the closure order on March 14.

But police attended the property on March 16 and the defendant was at the property.

Defending solicitor Fiona Larkin said that her partner lived at the address.

She had never lived at the address and attended in order to pick up some of her property.

It was her case that she had phone the police in relation to domestic issues.

Officers attended and took a statement.

She later returned to the property to collect some belongings and was not allowed in.

Police were again called.

Miss Larkin said her client was unaware that the closure order had been imposed but knew a notice had been put on the door.

She took responsibility for being there.

Davies was fined £50 with £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.
