A thief intercepted the bank card of an Oswestry resident which had been posted to them and used it to make purchases.
Police are now investigating after the card was used "a number of times" in the town between 1.45am and 9.20am on Wednesday, March 21.
The contactless debit card had been posted by a bank to a resident in St James Close but was intercepted and used fraudulently by the thief.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or the anonymous Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111 quoting incident reference number 0505s of March 21, 2018.
