One lucky resident in Weston Rhyn will be celebrating after their postcode scooped the daily prize with People’s Postcode Lottery.
Thanks to playing with two tickets, the Ash Close winner, who plays with the postcode SY10 7TW, has doubled their win and will see their bank account boosted by £2,000!
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, Judie McCourt, was on hand to offer her congratulations. She said: “What a great start to the weekend for our winner in Weston Rhyn - I really hope they enjoy spending their prize!”
A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised £282 million to date for 4,000 good causes across the UK and internationally.
A local cause near the winner that has received funding is Wales Wheelchair Basketball Association. The group were awarded £2,000 last year to run a beginners class in the sport.
