Oswestry’s annual bonfire and fireworks night raised over £8,000 last year.
The funds, totalling £8,647, will now be divided between local organisations and charities with 36 applying for a share.
Mayor of Oswestry, Councillor Vince Hunt, said he looked forward to handing out the grants next month.
He added: “This time last year we were faced with the Treble Niners saying because of health and safety issues, and management changes that they could no longer run this event.
“But I would like to thank the Rotary Club for stepping up and taking on that role - it was a fantastic event and I look forward to it taking place again this year.”
