A media teacher from North Shropshire College has joined some of her students on the ambitious local feature film project, “Run For Your Life”. Charlotte Williams has signed on as cinematographer for the film, fittingly, on International Women’s Day.

The film itself highlights the struggles of an inspirational young woman faced with bullying and adversity; themes which Charlotte holds close to her heart.

“It is an honour to be offered this role as working on a feature film has been a dream of mine since I was 14,” said Charlotte.

“I want to prove that women, especially transgender women like myself, have a place in filmmaking and that we can all make a big difference when given the opportunity.”

This new partnership comes on the back of recent successes from North Shropshire College students spending time on work experience with Rocking Horse Studios. “The relationship between the college and Rocking Horse has grown from strength to strength this past year and getting involved will only make the bond even greater.”

“Run For Your Life”, starring Christie Kelly as Jess Andrews, will raise awareness of bullying and autism.
