  • Brockton to Bourton, farmer digging through drifts.

South west Shropshire

  • B4378 Shipton to Much Wenlock blocked.
  • B4214 Clee Hill to Burford blocked.
  • B4368 Marton to Chirbury blocked

Central Shropshire

  • A488 Hope Valley is touch and go, the council have a snow blower there trying to keep it open.
  • B4380 down to one lane at Atcham, there is a snow blower there trying to open up both lanes.

Shropshire Council has also given the following advice:

All traffic needs to take care on all roads during this severe weather and only travel as necessary.

The mainline gritter fleet have treated/ploughed the primary network five times since yesterday morning, secondary routes have been done once as have car parks.

Minor roads are being treated by our farmer/contractors, but not all of those have access to salt spreaders and some will be only ploughing to try and keep minor routes clear.

Minor roads which have been salted will still need to be approached with care as the salt needs to be trafficked before it becomes most effective.

Strong winds are blowing snow on to roads from fields and there is significant drifting in places.
