ELLESMERE reached the top of the table in the Division One thanks to a 4-1 away win at Ex-Servicemens A.
Michael Dubicki starred with a 57- break in his 119-24 win over Johnny Edwards, while Ian Jones took the solitary point for the Servicemen making him the first player to take a frame from Ellesmere when on their travels this season.
Cefn slipped into second place due to their cancelled fixture, but third placed Flexsys A scored an impressive 4-1 home win against Corwen to close the gap on them in the meantime. There were good wins from Mitch Roberts, Nick Lee, Pete Bowley, and Colin Jones, but Corwen’s Ian Jones saved the whitewash with a tight win over Tim Hughes.
Glyn Ceiriog won 4-1 at home to Ex-Servicemens C with Daf Edwards top scoring, and Llangollen RAFA also won 4-1 away at Rhos Snooker Club.
In Division Two Criftins stretched their lead at the top thanks to a 4-1 win over Ifton with big wins from Andy Richards and Mark Newbrook.
Morda helped the cause of the leaders losing 3-2 at home while Four Crosses scored an impressive 5-0 win over Ex-Servicemens B with impressive victories for Dan Fletcher and Wayne Watkins.
Llanrhaeadr A registered a 4-1 win over Glyn Ceiriog B with Paul Prust top scoring and Llanrhaeadr B went up the road to Llangynog as they helped themselves to a 4-1 win with high-scoring wins from Dave Leyland and Tristan Owen.
