South Lancs/Cheshire League - Division Two
Marple 15, Oswestry 7

OSWESTRY'S indifferent away form continues to define their season after they slipped to defeat at Marple despite taking a seven point lead early in the game.

Nick Carlton scored the Eagles only try as they remain in seventh spot having missed the chance to close the gap on both the Isle of Man's Vagabonds and Ormskirk who sit six points ahead of them in the league table.

The defeat was Oswestry's sixth on their travels this term with only Southport having lost more games away from home, and the statistic remains in stark contrast to their home form, having won five and drawn one from their six league games to remain unbeaten at Granville Park, a feat achieved by only four team in the division so far during the campaign.
