The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert which is in force now.
The Severn Vyrnwy Confluence is likely to flood with more rain to come. The level at the Llanymynech Gauge was 2.83 metres and a peak level of 3.36 metres occurred yesterday.
The level at the Maesbrook Gauge was 0.96 metres and falling but the weather may cause it to rise further.
