The Colliers take a break from league action when they travel to Porthmadog in the semi-finals of the Welsh Blood Service League Cup on Saturday.

Coach Jones said: “It is a huge opportunity and a welcomed distraction for the club as we face Porthmadog in the league cup semi.

“We’ve defeated them twice this season but we know they’ll be after revenge.”

Jones also backed forward Dale Davies to maintain his rich form as the club bid to book their place in the final.

He said: “Dale has hit form and we look to him to carry it on into the next game.”

Meanwhile the Colliers were frustrated with the weekend weather forcing to the cancellation of their scheduled JD Cymru North clash against Gresford Athletic last week.
