CHIRK AAA welcome local rivals Cefn Druids to Holyhead Road on Saturday.
The clubs, among the oldest in Wales, have been moving in opposite directions over the last few seasons with Druids relegated from the JD Cymru Premier while Chirk sealed promotion to JD Cymru North as Ardal North East League champions.
Druids have since started the season well while Chirk remain inconsistent and sit in 13th place.
Coach Gary Jones said: “It is a big game for the club in terms of league position and with it being a local derby.
“Only last season that they were tier one and we were tier three so it shows the club is heading in the right direction.”

Jones said the standards of the second tier had provided the players with a steep learning curve but pointed to the form of TNS loanee Rhys Edwards as evidence the club was finding its feet.
He said: “The season has been a learning curve so far and one when we have not taken enough points from games we deserved but we are holding our own every week.
“Rhys Edwards has been in a good run of form in front of goal and we have been defensively solid all season so hopefully we are close to a run of form.”
