A change in the way the Government calculates grant settlements for local authorities could result in Croydon residents shelling out an extra £17 a year on council tax.
There could be a potential grant loss of between £1m and £2m for Croydon's 2002/03 Standard Spending Assessment (SSA) next year, according to a report from the GLA.
