What proved to be the Saints' best effort on goal came in the fourth minute when Scott Ruscoe's corner on the left found John Leah near the corner of the box and his 30-yarder was well tipped over by Airbus 'keeper Chris Doran.
At the other end, a poor clearance fell to Danny Desormeaux whose shot was cleared off the line by Phil Baker.
