They only needed a single victory to secure promotion to the Premier Division with two games left to play and made a dream start, scoring after two minutes when Jack Hughes combined with Ian Heathcock who rode a couple of tackles to score with a low
shot into the corner.
However, the lead lasted only ten minutes before Matt Brookes curled in a shot from an acute angle.
Wroxeter were the more aggressive team and apparently wanted to win more than a subdued St Martins side but the half ended 1-1.
Two minutes into the second half Steve Hawkesford crossed a harmless looking ball into the St Martins box but Karl Vickers and Stuart Heathcock left it to each other and the ball ended in the back of the net.
Tony Scotland was dominating the midfield for the home side, making it difficult for St Martins to get into the game and Matt Brookes a danger up front. And it was Brookes who burst through midway into the second half. Heathcock saved his initial shot but the striker tapped in the rebound to make it 3-1.
