Ian Davies's side, having been bowled out for 180 on a tricky wicket, had the home side reeling at 11 for five in their reply - and then had 9.3 overs at the last pair without success as Fordhouses finished on 139-9.
Paul Robinson (three for 17) a
nd Davies himself (two for 13) did the early damage, and Sam Huxley later weighed in with two for 21.
Highlight of the Oswestry innings was a gutsy 70 by South African Warrick Fynn, who received good support from Nick Williams (31) and Alex Huxley (23).
Oswestry Seconds recorded their second win of the season, by 103 runs at home to Berkswell Seconds.
Dave Shaw led the way with 68 and James O'Reilly hit 34 as Oswestry were bowled out for 205.
Marcus Bowman then took six for 35 to reduce Berkswell to 102 all out.
Oswestry Thirds went down by seven wickets at Wheaton Aston after being bowled out for 113. Jack Harris top-scored with 47, and Alan Morris added 32.
Mark Philp then took two for 29, but could not prevent Wheaton Aston reaching 116-3.
A five-wicket haul by Tristan Curteis set up a victory for Oswestry Fourths against Trysull and Seisdon.
Curteis took five for 16 as Trysull were bowled out for 111, and Oswestry replied with 112-6 - thanks mainly to Rory Jones (30), Radhesh Lahal (28) and Robbie Clarke (22).
This week Oswestry Firsts look to continue their climb up the table when they take on Olton and West Warwickshire at Morda Road (1pm).
