Local riders pull off Royal flush

THOUGH Zara Philips failed to place in last week's eventing competition held at Llanymynech, some local riders did very well. Click here to see the full results.

In the Llanymynech One Day Event Intro Section A, Charlotte Jones was placed third, scoring 32.1 in the dressage competition, on her horse 'Little Minx.'

In Intro Section B, Gill Johannsen emerged as winner, scoring 31.6 in the dressage event on her horse Skezahra.

Placing sixth and seventh respectively in the same section were Sarah Roberts and Suzie Davies.

Riding Warrinesse, Sarah scored 33.2 in the dressage event, 37.2 in total.

On Little Bitsa, Suzie Davies scored 36.3 in dressage, 37.5 in total - putting her in seventh position.

In Intro Section C, Jancis Tulloch came second, scoring 30.5 on Tiger Lilly IX in dressage.

Fellow local riders Sally Poppe and Hannah Evans came fourth and sixth respectively on their horses Tempest River Queen and Sirius.

Sally scored 31.6 in dressage and Hannah scored 32.1 in dressage, 32.5 in total.

Sarah McGrath came second overall in Intro Section D. Riding Salenno, she scored 31.6 in dressage.

Riding Jazzman IV, Charlotte Hunter came fourth in the Open Pre Novice Section E, scoring 33.0 in dressage.

Evie Paterson and her horse Direct Supreme came third in the Pre Novice Section G, scoring 33.0 in dressage.

Claire Phillips rode Cap That to ninth place in Novice Section I, scoring 31.4 in dressage, 44.6 in total.

In the Pre Novice Section K, Louise Charmley came seventh riding Out of The Question III for 32.0 in dressage, 36 in total.

Jean Gow followed in eighth position, scoring 32.5 in dressage, 36.5 in total on Corrib Blue Vinney.

Marcus Reid came ninth on Voltaires Pearl, scoring 28.5 in dressage, 36.5 in total.

Claire Philips and 'Market Mover' came second in Pre Novice Section L, scoring 31.0 in dressage.

Riding Primitives Paddington, Marcus Reid came seventh 32.0 in dressage, 36 in total.

Sophie Martin and The Kings Imp came second in Junior Regional Novice Section M, scoring 28.1 in dressage, 35.3 total.

Following in third place, Evie Paterson scored 36.7 in dressage on Pebbly Flux.

In the Novice Regional Final, Section N, Jancis Tulloch and 'Finbury Hill' came fifth, scoring 34.8 in dressage, 35.2 in total.

Finally, John-Peter Daker came joint eighth on his horse Bow House Moneypenny, scoring 35.2 in dressage, 39.2 in total.
