FANS of The New Saints are urged to go along and watch history being made as they strive to overturn a 1-0 defeat in the first leg to reach the European Champions League third qualifying round.

Trailing fromthe first leg against Bohemians in Dublin a week ago, they will be bolstered by the fantastic draw for the next round which pairs them with the mighty Belgian giants Anderlecht should they get through.

It is a massive incentive and Saints believe they will have no trouble selling out the 1,000 maximum seats they have available for tonight's (Tuesday) game at Park Hall.

A win would also guarantee them further European competition with the losers in the next round guaranteed entry into the Europa League - the former UEFA Cup.

Team boss Mike Davies said he was delighted with the first leg performance in Dublin achieved against a good side that was half way through its domestic season.

"We are still in it and we have got a good chance but we are not going to take anything for granted," he said.

Saints had been hanging on in the final stages at Dublin's Dalymount Park as Bohemians looked for the second goal that would probably have ended Saints' interest in the tie.

Now he appeals for patience from the Park Hall faithful as Saints look to mix aggression with caution in the early stages of the return game.

"We have got to score. If we don't we won't go through, we know that. But we don't want to give them an early goal and we have to be cautious even when we are attacking," he said.

But if the game remains scoreless into the second half they will have to throw caution to the wind with the prospect of playing Anderlecht an additional spur.

"It would be a dream tie. If we could achieve that it would a first for Welsh football," Mike added.

Whatever happens the game should bring some much needed atmosphere to Park Hall as tickets are selling out fast.

"It will be great to see a good crowd there. They could bring around 400 supporters with them and it should create a good atmosphere," Mike concluded.

Kick-off is at 7pm.
