Oswestry Chess Club had a disappointing 3.5-1.5 away loss to Telepost, Shrewsbury last Monday.
Charles Lowick Higgie from Malpas drew with black on board two and Brian Whyte from Dudleston Heath won on board three with white, but the rest of the team all lost.
Charles and Brian were in action action over the weekend, playing for Shropshire 1st in the 4NCL National League.
Charles drew both his games - one with white and one with black, on board three, while Brian lost on board four on Saturday and drew with white on board five on Sunday.
