NEW Saints winger, Craig Jones, is on the verge of a dream move to Championship side Leeds United after the Elland Road club came calling for the TNS playmaker last week.

Leeds boss, Simon Grayson, has given the versatile midfielder a seven-day trial in which to prove himself after the three-time League Champions were impressed by his performances in the Welsh Premier League and in Europe.

Jones has played over 80 times in the league for The New Saints, as well as 14 times in Europe since joining the club in May 2009 from then WPL champions Rhyl, and the possibility of a high-profile move to the former European Cup runners-up could also herald a bumper transfer fee for the Oswestry side.
