David MacGregor,

Oswestry 25/01/2008 11:30:48
I think it's terrible. These schools have done everything asked of them and more, winning awards and working to improve themselves. Some have even only recently built extensions and hired staff to meet demmand. I accept that other tiny schools are unviable, but these four are thriving, filled to capacity and adding real value to their community.
We must fight to keep them!!

Kath Howard,

Welshampton 27/01/2008 09:32:17
As a parent at Welshampton School I'm shocked that our School would even be considered for closure. With the most 'Outstanding' Ofsted report in the whole of Shropshire also Green Flag status as 80% of pupils walk or bike to school. The Ofsted inspector was quoted as saying that 'Welshampton School provides fantastic value for money!'
We must fight this not just the Parents, Staff and the Welshampton Community but everyone out there who recognises that this is a threat to Rural Education throughout the UK.
If you would like to help us in our campaign please visit our website at www.savewelshamptonschool.co.uk and fill in the online petition.
