Nikki Hill, Chairman of Governors said: "The school is full, we are over-subscribed because parents seek us out. They recognise our unique value as a rural village church school providing high quality education with a caring ethos.
"Selattyn's size is the very factor that allows it to be different and offers parents a valid choice for their children. This school is an excellent example of Every Child Matters. We have followed Government policy to the letter to achieve this level of success.
"Selattyn School has played a vital role in this community for 150 years, staff, parents, governors and the community are united in fighting to ensure it continues this work into the next 150 years," she added.
The school is judged as 'good' by the local authority. Numbers are forecast to fall by four in 2012 but this projection does not take into account parental preference expressed for the school.
A coachload of parents and supporters are planning to attend the Shropshire County Council Cabinet meeting to be held tomorrow, Wednesday.
