Women in the Oswestry area are being invited to step onto court this week as Bloom Netball hosts a special Couch2Court taster and training session at Moreton Hall in Weston Rhyn.
The session will be held on Wednesday at 6.30pm and is aimed at complete beginners, nervous returners and anyone who fancies giving netball a go in a friendly, low‑pressure environment.
Organisers say this week’s event is the perfect time to get involved, with a mix of fun drills, gentle match play and plenty of support for those who have not picked up a ball in years.

Those who have already signed up should now have received an email with all the key details, including what to wear, where to go and when to arrive, and are being encouraged to give it a quick check before they head out so they feel fully prepared on the night.
Players who are in the online group but have not yet registered are being urged to take the plunge and book a place.
Organisers are keen to reassure newcomers that they do notneed to be fit, fast or confident to join in – just willing to have a go.
Existing players are also being asked to confirm their attendance for the training session as soon as possible so equipment and groups can be planned in advance.
With excitement building, the taster evening is expected to be a lively introduction to Bloom Netball’s Couch2Court programme, which focuses on building confidence, skills and friendships as much as fitness.
Anyone interested in taking part is encouraged to get in touch with the organiser directly to secure a spot and be part of what promises to be a brilliant evening of netball.
