OSWESTRY Team Tennis has raised £50k of a £100k goal as the group plans to build a new clubhouse by next summer.

The club, based in Cae Glas Park, has over 140 members, and over the next 12 months wants to raise the money for the new clubhouse, which will support the tennis club.

Oswestry Team Tennis is a registered charity who wants even more key part of the community in bringing people together, improving social interactions and getting all ages and abilities together to play tennis and have fun.

The workshop adjacent to the tennis courts will be the one converted to the Oswestry Team Tennis- (OTT) clubhouse.

Clive who is 74, has already walked 140 miles undertaking the Anglesey coastal path back in April for this cause, and is now looking for support and sponsorship to help him reach his £1000 target with a further two day walk of 30 miles.

On the first day, July7, he will walk From Poachers (Chirk) to Llanymynech along Offa Dyke for 17 miles.

The following day, July 8, he will take on 13 miles from Oswestry's Oswalds Trail starting at the Tennis Club and finishing back there at Oswestry Team Tennis's Wimbledon Tournament.
