THE ATTFIELD Theatre plans to send audiences laughing into the summer recess.
For their final production of the season, the Oswestry-based group has chosen a farce from the pen of the master of the genre, Derek Benfield.
Off the Hook tells of three crooks who descend on a shabby country house hotel to recover some loot stashed from a previous robbery.
To help them, they spring an accomplice from prison – but not everyone is who they seem and, along with some eccentric staff and dubious visitors, it leads to some hilarious consequences.
Director Michaela Turner has been thorough and intensive which should ensure all is slickly rehearsed before the play hits the Attfield stage from May 7-12.
Tickets can be obtained from the company’s box office at The Guildhall, or by calling 01691 680222.
