Ticket-holders for a Oswestry music festival, Fieldbounce, are angry after the event was cancelled and are awaiting information on refunds.

The one-day festival was due to be held on May 5 at Park Hall in Oswestry, and feature some of the biggest names in music including Scouting for girls, Dappy, Fuse ODG and Danny Howard.

On April 5, the organisers released a statement on their social media page which said: "The management of Fieldbounce Music Festival officially announce that due to circumstances beyond their control, the festival scheduled to take place in Oswestry on Saturday May 5 has had to be cancelled. We apologise for any convenience."

Natasha Wykes from Birmingham said: "I'm angry. I'm travelling from Birmingham and I've book a hotel. I've lost £160 on two VIP tickets.

"I've been waiting to hear something since Monday (April 9). I know people have messaged a few of the organisers on Facebook and they haven't got back to us. We've emailed and been ignored.

"Ive contacted Fieldbounce through other social media platforms and they've just said wait for a reply through email but it doesn't take this long to communicate, that's all we want."

Robert Walker from Oswestry is also waiting to hear from the organisers.

He said: "We have not received an update since the announcement."

One of the organisers of the event, Shawn Melusi said he is unable to give the Advertizer a statement as this time.
