Shrewsbury-based band, Rainbreakers are to hold a concert at Albert’s Shed, Shrewsbury to raise awareness of mental health challenges.

The concert coincides with the release of their new single; Heavy Soul and the band have worked with Shropshire Mind in order to help spread the message that it’s OK to talk about mental health issues.

Commenting on the event, lead singer, Ben Edwards said: “We’re excited to be playing at Albert’s Shed again, and to be able to use it as a platform to speak openly about mental health issues gives us a brilliant opportunity to help to remove the stigma surrounding mental ill-health.”

Heather Ireland, business manager at Shropshire Mind said: “We’re delighted that Ben and Rainbreakers are championing mental health.

"Our aim at Shropshire Mind is to work hard to make sure that everyone experiencing mental health problems gets the help and respect they deserve, and so we’re very grateful to have Ben’s support”.

Information about the services offered at Shropshire Mind will be available on the night. The concert is being held tonight (April 25).

Doors open at 7.00pm and tickets, which are priced at £10 are available direct from Albert’s Shed or at www.tickettailor.com. Tickets will also be available on the evening at the door.
