A GROUP of young farmers from the Tanat Valley has raised more than £700 for charity – with a pitch perfect performance.

The Dyffryn Tanat Young Farmers Club staged their annual carol concert in aid of the Wales Air Ambulance charity, and last week handed over a cheque for £747.

The money was handed over to Helen Thomas from the charity, and Helen gave the group an informative talk about the work of the Wales Air Ambulance and what they do in the area.

Dyffryn Tanat YFC meets every other Wednesday evening at 7.30pm at Llanrhaeadr Ym Mochnant Hall.

“We welcome members from 13 (start of year 9 in the high school) to 26. We currently have more than 70 members and are one of the biggest clubs in the county,” said a spokesperson.

“We take part in many activities and competitions on a county and national level, we also play an important part in our community.”
