Face2Face students took part in a day-long Greatest Showman workshop, which concluded with an all singing all dancing performance.

Twenty-two students from the performance academy, which is held at Moreton School took on the challenge of staging a 20-minute long version of the much-loved musical film, which included popular songs ‘This is Me’, ‘A Million Dreams’ and ‘From Now On’.

The workshop included creating props for the performance, learning choreography, staging scenes and vocalising the chosen songs.

West End performer CiCi Howells visited the academy to teach the choreography, and offer performance advice.

CiCi said: “I love visiting Face2Face Performance Academy and as usual they took advice and direction with sheer professionalism.

“I was so impressed with the students' ability to retain choreography, and perform it with detail and in character.”

The day concluded with a performance to an almost full house of audience members, which consisted of friends, family and students from the Easter holiday club. The students’ performance was rewarded with rapturous applause and excellent feedback.

Michael Jenkins, teacher of Drama, said: “Face2Face has gone from strength to strength since opening our doors in January 2017. We have welcomed guests from West End shows, casting directors and established choreographers.

“I am immensely proud of what our students continue to achieve, and look forward to seeing their performances in the summer showcase at the end of this term. Face2Face is open to general public, as well Moreton Hall students, we currently have 42 registered students, 14 of which study at Moreton.”
