The Year One and Year Two classes at Woodside Primary School were treated to fun Chester Zoo workshops.
Foundation Stage two children took part in the Sing for Songbirds workshops where they learnt all about the songbird crisis in Indonesia.
Year One and Year Two children took part in the African Animals workshops.
Teacher Jessica Bromley said: “As part of my role as reading leader, exposing children to a wide range of vocabulary is crucial for their literacy and language development.
“The children and staff loved taking part in the sessions and are looking forward to continuing to learn more about the animals mentioned in the workshops.”
