A strong team of players headed to Telford Langley School to take part in the Shropshire schools county table tennis championship recently.
Sixth Form pupil Kevin Shen, from Oswestry School, took the under-19 champion title and now will head to Wolverhampton in April for the national finals.
Along with Kevin’s success medals were also issued to Sixth Form pupils Omar Elbasiouny and Tom Mercer, plus under-16 players Bohdan Shevchenco and Michael Samsittikul.
Oswestry School teacher, Sean Lucas, said: “All the games were played in a fantastic spirit and even those team members who did not gain a medal had a great evening and enjoyed
their own minor triumphs.
"Thank you to Telford Langley for hosting such a positive championship."
