The West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner has thanked a number of police officers, volunteers and members of the public who have made an outstanding contribution to keeping Shropshire’s communities safe during a special ceremony last week.

Mr Campion said “It was an honour to attend these awards and to see the outstanding contribution by these and all the other award winners.

“On behalf of our communities, I’d like to thank the award winners all those individuals who go above and beyond to make West Mercia a place that is safe and feels safe.

“It’s important to remember that there are individuals behind the police uniform, who volunteer their time to do incredible things and I want to ensure that they get the recognition they deserve.”
