Residents and staff at the Chirk Court Care Home in Chirk celebrated Easter with line-dancing and laughter this year adding a touch of flair with Easter bonnets and Easter chicken outfits.

“We were delighted that the Ellesmere Line-dancers kindly volunteered to provide some Easter entertainment for our residents and bought along baskets of chocolate eggs for the residents too. It was a lovely event,” said Mandi Southern, activities coordinator at the care home which is managed by Clwyd Alyn Housing Association, part of the Pennaf Housing Group.

“The residents had a brilliant time and the room was filled with laugher and smiles as many joined in with the singing and dancing.”

Mandi added that this wasn’t the only visit to Chirk Court over the Easter period, as wells as Easter chicks residents welcomed some other feathered friends from the Stockley Birds of Prey Centre:

“It was a case of Easter owls as well as Easter chicks this year! It was a real privilege to welcome Pam Graham from the Stockley Birds of Prey Centre. Residents were thrilled to be able to hold the owls that Pam bought along and to find out more about them. It was a new experience for many of our residents who were absolutely delighted to meet these wonderful birds.”
