Oswestry businesses keen to be informed of the latest county council plans for significant economic growth in and around the town are being encouraged to attend the next meeting of the Chamber of Commerce.
Attendees will hear from Shropshire Council’s Gemma Davies, the head of economic growth, and Hayley Owen, the growth programme and strategy manager, on how the council sees Oswestry’s growth strategy playing out over the next 10 years, and how businesses can benefit from the opportunities it will bring.
Steve Charmley, the deputy leader of Shropshire Council, will provide the local authority's perspective and its latest thinking on the new Innovation Park, the role of the A5, Mile End development and the Oswestry BID.
Chamber chairman Mark Derham said: "This will be an open meeting and we’d love to see a business full house, whether chamber members or not, for what promises to be a vitally important subject for every Oswestry business.”
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 7 at the Wynnstay Hotel at 6pm.
Anyone wishing to attend can email the Oswestry chamber clerk at oschamberclerk@gmail.com to register.
