POLICE say with residents' help they can put an end to a group of reckless nuisance drivers who have made villagers' lives a misery.
At last week's Partners and Community Together meeting at Maesbury's Canal Central, there was a significant turnout of residents, all concerned about the driving of a small number of individuals within the community, who they claim are putting people's lives at risk.

"It's the same few every time, speeding through the village past the school, over and undertaking at stupid speeds in dangerous places," said one of the residents, "They are intimidating people with the dangerous way they drive. They have even been round knocking on people's doors warning them not to tell the police."

Another resident said she had almost been run off the road by one of the individuals and, having had her child in the back of the car, she was left shaken by the experience.
