Chirk man and woman arrested in fraud investigation

A MAN and a woman from Chirk were arrested last week as part of a fraud investigation

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: ""On Wednesday, June 25, nine people were arrested in connection with an investigation into alleged fraud.

"The six men arrested were a 60-year-old from Kinmel Bay, a 56-year-old from Chester, a 55-year-old from Colwyn Bay, a 49-year-old from Ruthin, a 64-year-old from Dyserth were arrested along with a 24-year-old from Chirk.

"The three women arrested were a 52-year-old woman from Denbigh, a 55-year-old woman from Kinmel Bay and a 26-year-old from Chirk. "They were all arrested in connection with fraud.

"They have all been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

"Police inquires continue and we are working closely with the Crown Prosecution Service."
