Chirk Bank Residents Association held their second meeting to discuss development proposals last Thursday June 26, and again their venue was packed out, with standing room only as they quizzed Richard Bayliss of First Step Homes.
More than 100 residents turned out despite lashing wind and rain to raise their objections against the homes, citing a slowdown in the property market, drainage issues and countryside preservation.
Angela Bright, who has been organising the meetings and is one of seven of the group's committee members said: "The fact that so many people came out in the battering rain shows the strength of feeling.
"We've had so much support, without which we really could not do anything."
Angela said that Mr Bayliss gave a presentation, after which the meeting was opened to, at times, fierce questioning from the public.
