STUDENTS at Sir John Talbot’s Technology College, Whitchurch were celebrating this week, with 58per cent of students achieving five or more high grade A*-C passes, the school’s second highest ever result, and 42per cent achieving five or more A*-C passes including English and Maths.
Headteacher Malcolm Roddy said: “Students and staff have been rewarded with another pleasing set of results this year.
“There are some outstanding individual results and the students and their parents can be rightly proud of their achievements.”
Mr Roddy congratulated all the students, who he said had performed to their very best.
Among those scoring the highest number of GCSE points were Zoe Baldock 2A*, 2A, 6B, 1C; Megan Davies 8A, 2B, 1C; Gareth Francis, 3A*, 8A, 2B; Lauren Huxley 7A, 6B; Alistair Metcalfe 3A*, 8A, 1B; Rebecca Molena 8A, 3B; Peter Rylands 6A*, 5A; Ceri Stokes 1A*, 7A, 3B, 1C.
