SEVERN Trent has set a date for its return visit to Oswestry when it will once again ask its consumers what they think of the town’s drinking water.
The water utilities provider will return to Oswestry for another drop-in session at the Guildhall on Bailey Head during the afternoon of Thursday, December 3.
On the same day, Severn Trent plans to attend the Local Joint Committee meeting in the evening and has also offered to meet with the Water Forum whilst in Oswestry.
In correspondence with Oswestry Town Council, Severn Trent spokesperson Grace Marren said: “Following the switch on of the boreholes at Nesscliffe, residents in Oswestry may have noticed some difference in their water supply over the last week or so.
“We are now just fine-tuning the process to ensure everything is working as it should.
“This will involve using boreholes intermittently over the next few weeks until we are satisfied they will provide the improvements our customers anticipate.”
Severn Trent visited for a similar two-day drop-in session last month and were greeted by scores of residents from Oswestry and the district who turned out to complain about the smell, taste and hardness of the drinking water.
