IT’S north versus south for part one of a big all-Wales tussle.

Cymru North and Cymru South squads have been confirmed ahead of their UEFA Regions’ Cup play-off matches, with the first leg being played at Denbigh’s Central Park on Saturday.

Cup kings Mold Alex feature most prominently in Nathan Leonard’s northern squad.

Four players from the club have been called up, in the shape of Alex Swindell, Matty Lewis, Henry Nash and Danny Warren (pictured above).

Two of Holywell Town’s Cymru North-winning side earn spots in the squad, with Danny Sullivan and Morgan Murray rewarded for their performances, while Gresford Athletic’s Haci Ozlu and Chirk AAA’s Josh Evans have also been called up.

Leonard has handed call-ups to two of his Guilsfield side, as defender Chris Cathrall and prolific striker Iwan Matthews link up with their club manager.

The second leg will be played at Ynys Park, in Trefelin, on Sunday, May 12.

Winners of the tie will go forward to represent Wales in the intermediate round of the 2024/25 UEFA Regions’ Cup in Serbia in September.
