TNS 7 Caernarfon Town 1

TNS recorded a 23rd consecutive JD Cymru Premier victory after defeating Caernarfon Town 7-1 at Park Hall Stadium on Friday.

Victory increased the pride of Oswestry’s lead at the top of the table to 28 points with just three games remaining before the end of the league season.

TNS led inside seven minutes with Declan McManus scrambling home Chris Marriott’s corner to open the floodgates.

Seven minutes later Ben Clark cushioned a cross from Josh Daniels before firing home his side’s second.

Only Caernarfon Town goalkeeper Josh Tibbetts helped the visitors avoid further humiliation as Dan Williams, McManus and Baker were denied.

Even Tibbetts could not prevent Cieslewicz adding his second of the night after heading home Blaine Hudson’s glanced on header at the start of the second-half.

TNS added a sixth on the hour with Jordan Marshall impeded in the area and McManus slotted home from the spot.

Caernarfon failed to muster many meaningful openings but with 15 minutes remaining Louis Lloyd slid home from close range as the Canaries celebrated a consolation.
